Lorena Reynoso-Jimenez is a proud first-generation college graduate, daughter of immigrant parents from Jalisco, Mexico, mother of two, and educational leader dedicated to expanding opportunities for students and families. Raised in Los Angeles, California, she earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before completing her Master's in Education and earning her Administrative Services Credential. Inspired by her parents' unwavering belief in the transformative power of education, Ms. Reynoso-Jimenez has dedicated her career to ensuring every student has access to opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.

Over the past 14 years, Ms. Reynoso-Jimenez has proudly served the students and families of Watts and South Los Angeles. She began her career as a high school English teacher before transitioning into school leadership, where she has led instructional excellence, school culture, teacher development, and equity-focused initiatives. She is passionate about creating learning environments where every student feels known, challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

As Principal of Encore Arts & Media College Prep, Ms. Reynoso-Jimenez is honored to partner with students, families, and staff to continue building a school where academic excellence, creativity, and belonging thrive together. She believes deeply in the power of education to create Positive Multigenerational Change and is committed to preparing every scholar with the knowledge, confidence, and character to succeed in college, career, and life.

Outside of school, Ms. Reynoso-Jimenez enjoys traveling with her family, discovering new restaurants, listening to music, and exploring Southern California. She is an avid dog lover and the proud owner of two dogs. Above all, she treasures spending time with her husband and two children, who continually inspire her commitment to serving young people and building strong school communities.
