Community colleges are an awesome resource for students in our communities. Offering free tuition for the first two years to those who go full time, they are a low-cost way to receive an AA degree and transfer to a 4-year college. They are also great for taking dual enrollment courses while in high school to earn college credits before even starting college. But it’s important to select your college knowing all the statistics surrounding them, and go into any college choice with eyes wide open.

Many times I hear people tell me that universities are tough to partner with, that they move too slowly, and there is too much red tape. But that hasn’t been the case on my end. From my experience, these are the 4 keys to establishing a great university-high school partnership.

It was Monday morning, Nov 25, 2013. Keep in mind that Ednovate - USC Hybrid High was 15 weeks into our turnaround efforts. That meant staff was working hard to rebuild systems and establish the right adult and student culture of our school.

The teenage years can be challenging, and good self-care is important to keeping every high schooler grounded and thriving in school, with friends, and at home with family.

It's November, and we're already just about halfway through the school year. It probably seems like just yesterday that you were buying glue sticks and backpacks to get ready for kindergarten. And now it's textbooks and bigger backpacks...and about time to think about what you and your family want in a high school--to get ready for success after graduation.

Ednovate - USC Hybrid High College Prep’s third graduating class is stronger than ever. All 118 seniors are college-bound, with $3.2 million in confirmed grants and scholarships.

When I was driving up on Friday morning, I couldn’t believe that my summer had already come to an end; summer had literally flown by. For me, move-in day began at 6am with my mom, two younger sisters, and a family friend who we had to pay to drive us. It would be a four hour drive up to Ithaca, New York: the trip that marked the first time my mom and sisters would see my new home.
